Description

Itinerary:

Day 1: Luxor / Al Minya Tour

At 5:30 am, Egypt Gift Tours representative will pick you up from your Hotel/Nile Cruise in Luxor by air-conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Al Minya, about 6 hours driving from Luxor.

Upon arrival at Al Minya, you will visit Tell El Amarna,the capital city, founded by Akhnaton, including the great plain where Akhenaton received his divine inspiration to build his city. Lunch will be served in a quality local restaurant in Al Minya. Then you will be transferred for overnight in a hotel in El Minya.

Day 2: Beni Hassan and Tell El Amarna Tombs Tour / Luxor

In the morning, after your breakfast you will be driven to Beni Hassan; the site of almost 40 tombs from the 11th and 12th dynasty with the fabulous inscriptions, where you can see Bakhet tomb (who was the governor of the Oryx Nome ), Khety tomb (who was the son of the owner of the first tomb) and Khnumhotep tomb (who was a governor under Amenemhat III in the 12th dynasty).

Then, proceed to Tel El Amarna, the ancient capital founded by Akhnaton, where to visit the northern tombs among of which Ahmose tomb and Huya tomb. Lunch in a good quality local restaurant in El Minya.

Travel in comfort back to your hotel in Luxor.
