Itinerary:

This morning, our English-speaking Egyptologist guide will pick you up at your hotel or Nile Cruise reception. He will accompany you in a private motor boat to the west bank of the Nile where, you will start by visiting the Tombs of the Nobles, where you will visit 3 Tombs. The oldest tomb dates to the 6th Dynasty of ancient Egypt and contain important biographical texts inside. The tombs decorated with vivid wall paintings showing scenes of everyday life, hieroglyphic biographies and inscriptions telling of the noblemen’s journeys into Africa.

The 12th Dynasty tombs of Sarenput I and Sarenput II have the finest art. At night they are illuminated with hidden spotlights and can be clearly seen from Aswan.

Then you will take your camels reserved in advance for you to continue to Monastery of St. Simeon, that was established in the 7th century by Coptic monks seeking to escape to the meditative quiet of the desert. The complex was rebuilt at least once before it was finally abandoned during the 13th century; however, the monastery remains in surprisingly good shape given it long disuse.
