Day 2: Visit The Great Pyramids, Sphinx, GEM and Overnight Sleeper Train to Aswan
Check out after breakfast to start at 8 am your full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) with your private Egyptology tour guide. Start by visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years. Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind. Enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. You’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general.
Then to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which is not just another museum—it’s a new milestone in Egypt’s mission to preserve, showcase, and present its ancient heritage in a modern and unforgettable way. Built to be one of the world’s most impressive cultural destinations, GEM takes you beyond iconic photos and makes you feel the history through carefully designed galleries, rich storytelling, and world-class collections.
During your visit, you’ll have the chance to explore Egypt’s civilization in greater depth, with exhibits that connect the Pharaonic era to the discoveries that continue to reshape our understanding of the past. GEM highlights some of the most valuable and fascinating artifacts ever found, giving you context about royal life, burial traditions, religious beliefs, and the legacy left behind by ancient kings and builders.

In the evening you will be picked up and transferred to Cairo train station to take your night sleeper train to Aswan (about 12-14 hours).

Day 3: Aswan Arrival Transfer to Nile Cruise and Aswan Tours
Once in Aswan our licensed tour guide will meet and assist you at Aswan Railway station to be transferred by A/C car to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to check in before lunch. Have lunch on board.
Then, start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric.
Proceed to visit the Greco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. Later on, return back to your cruise for Dinner, folkloric show, and Overnight in Aswan.
Note: If your arrival to Aswan is so early, so we might start the tour direct upon arrival since the cruise check-in time at 12:00 and we don’t want our guest to waste their time waiting at the lobby for check-in.
There is also an early morning optional visit to the UNESCO world heritage site of Abu Simbel on the second day of the cruise. This amazing site was completely dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded.

Day 4: Abu Simbel Trip (sharing a group in a bus or mini-bus), Sailing and Kom Ombo Temple
Around 4 to 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for Abu Simbel trip (sharing a group in a bus or minibus), to visit one of the most impressive places in Egypt; the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel with their unique design built for King Ramesses 2nd and his beloved Queen Nefertari. meet your guide who will be waiting for there. enjoy exploring the temples for about 90 minutes, then drive back to Aswan.
Back to the Cruise around 2:30 pm to have your lunch and start sailing heading to Kom Ombo city where to visit the dual temple of Sobek; the crocodile God and Horus; the Falcon God.
Tea time on the sun deck for about 30 minutes (free tea, Nescafe and cake). Arrive Kom Ombo around 5:30 to 6 pm and stop to visit the temple. Back to the cruise and have dinner. Continue sailing to Edfu for overnight.
Note: The cruise options for Sundays and Thursdays start sailing to Kom Ombo in the early morning of day 3 around 5 am. We will do all the excursions mentioned in the itinerary but in different order according to the cruise schedule.

Day 5: Edfu Temple and Arrive Luxor (visit Luxor Temple)
Around 4:30 to 5 am, enjoy Horse Carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu which is considered to be the most complete and the best preserved of all the Egyptian temples. Return to the cruise to have your breakfast and start sailing. Relax on the deck watching the unique landscape and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile river while sailing to Luxor. Cross Esna Lock, lunch on board and afternoon tea on the sundeck.
Late in the afternoon, arrive Luxor; built on and around the ancient site of Thebes, and has the greatest concentration of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley, if not the world. Across the Nile lies the City of the Dead, with its mortuary temples and rock carved tombs. To the east stand the Temples of Luxor and Karnak.
If the boat arrives between 3 to 3:30 pm, you might have a chance to visit both Karnak and Luxor temples but if it arrives a bit later, then we might visit Luxor Temple which is in the center of town and is colorfully lit up by night and where ancient Egyptian, Christian and Islamic features are exhibited. Dinner on board and belly dancing show. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor West Bank, Karnak Temple Tour and Overnight Sleeper Train to Cairo
Breakfast and check out at 8 am to start your remarkable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the new kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies.
Then to the Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut, who was the first woman to rule over Egypt. This temple was used as a monastery in the Christian era and famous as El Deir Al Bahari, or ‘Northern Monastery’.
End your tour in the West Bank by a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. hese two, 18 m-high statues are the only remaining items of the temple of Amenhotep III.
Lunchtime in a local restaurant (optional). Continue to visit the massive temple of Karnak. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long sphinx lined avenue. Inside the large courtyard are three temples. The much photographed Hypo-style Hall has an impressive 134 towering columns, each is carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions cover the walls.
At the end, transfer to Luxor train station to take your overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Day 7: Alexandria Day Trip from Cairo and Departure Transfer
Upon arrival at Cairo train station, meet your guide for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo. Tour Alexandria’s most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide. Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with the beautiful artworks, visit the Roman Theater, take in views from the 15-century fortifications at the Citadel of Qaitbay. Explore the New Alexandria library at your own pace. Lunch is optional in this tour.
Drive Back in comfort to Cairo Airport to take your flight back home or if you can add extra nights to your time in Cairo, then you have a chance to join any other optional sightseeing tours of Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum , Cairo Citadel and Coptic Cairo or a spot of last minute shopping until we take you back to the airport for your departure flight.
