Itinerary:

Egypt Gift Tours licensed Egyptology tour guide will pick you up from Hotel / Nile Cruise in a private air-conditioned car. We will drive you north of Luxor for about 4 hours; pass by local villages, enjoy the majestic sceneries, views of daily life all the way to Abydos. In the way, your guide will give you general information about your day tour.

Arrive at Abydos Temple; built first by King Seti I and completed by his son King Ramesses II, known as(Seti I Temple); where ancient Egyptians made sacred pilgrimages in historic times and believed of God Osiris(the lord of the underworld)to be buried there. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of Osiris Temple are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt.

Then, continue to Dendera to visit the beautiful temple of Hathor; goddess of joy, love and music with its massive stone roof, underground passages and the magnificent rare relief of Queen Cleopatra and her son Caesarian.

Concentrate with your guide to see the astronomical figures and zodiac signs; which makes this temple one of the most famous temples in Egypt. The original zodiac is now in the Louvre museum.

Dendera and abydos is a very difficult but rewarding tour. We had the opportunity to visit one of the first and latest temples rarely watched by tourists. The tour was quite successful thanks to the excellent guidance Hossam Rashwan who showed us secret passages and explained the hieroglyphs in a very thorough way. Through his effort we are enlightened in the political and religious aspects of ancient egypt. Like i said it was a difficult but very successful tour. Thank you very much Hossam.
