The Beauty of Egypt Upper Nile Valley, is best appreciated from the deck of a Nile Cruise ship. Enjoy the riverside scenery and discover the ancient wonders of Egypt passing by pharaonic sites en route between Luxor and Aswan. Explore the highlights of the sightseeing in Luxor and Aswan, two stops in the way to visit the pharaonic sites of interest such as; Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples. Discover one of the most impressive temples in Egypt by visiting Abu Simbel 285 km south of Aswan. Experience the exciting trip of the Hot Air Balloon in Luxor. Have fun and enjoy plenty of night entertainments of the belly dancing show, galabia party, Nubian show or disco and more in 4 days/3 nights Nile Cruise every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday from Aswan to Luxor. Full board, check in with lunch, check out with breakfast.

Note:

  • Recommended Arrival time on the first day should be before 12:01 pm.
  • The tour ends in Luxor on the last day around 4:00 pm, so evening departure is recommended.
  • The cruise options for Sundays and Thursdays start sailing to Kom Ombo in the early morning of day 3 around 5 am. We will do all the excursions mentioned in the itinerary but in different order according to the cruise schedule. 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival transfer to Nile Cruise and Aswan Tours

Egypt Gift Tours licensed tour guide will meet and assist you at Aswan Airport, Railway station or Hotel to be transferred by A/C car to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to check in before lunch. Have lunch on board. Then, start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric. Proceed to visit Philae Temple; the Greco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. Later on, return back to your cruise for dinner, folkloric show, and overnight in Aswan.

Note: If your arrival to Aswan is so early, so we might start the tour direct upon arrival since the cruise check-in time at 12:00 and we don’t want our guest to waste their time waiting at the lobby for check-in.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.

Accommodation: Overnight in Aswan Aswan on board the cruise..

Day 2: Abu Simbel trip and Kom Ombo temple

Around 4:00 to 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for Abu Simbel trip (sharing a group in a bus or minibus), to visit one of the most impressive places in Egypt; the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel with their unique design built for King Ramesses 2nd and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Back to the cruise by noon to have your lunch and sailing heading to Kom Ombo city where to visit the dual temple of Sobek, the crocodile God and Horus, the Falcon God. Back to the cruise and have dinner. Continue sailing to Edfu for overnight.

Note: The cruise options for Sundays and Thursdays start sailing to Kom Ombo in the early morning of day 3 around 5 am. We will do all the excursions mentioned in the itinerary but in different order according to the cruise schedule.

Accommodation: Overnight in Edfu Aswan on board the cruise.

Day 3: Edfu Temple and Arrive Luxor (visit Luxor Temple)

Around 5:30 to 6 am, enjoy Horse Carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu which is considered to be the most complete and the best preserved of all the Egyptian temples. Return to the cruise to have your breakfast and start sailing. Relax on the deck watching the unique landscape and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile river while sailing to Luxor. Cross Esna Lock. Lunch on board. Afternoon tea on the sundeck.

Late in the afternoon, arrive at Luxor dock, to be transferred to enjoy Luxor Temple on the East bank of Luxor; where ancient Egyptian, Christian and Islamic features are exhibited. Dinner on board and belly dancing show. Overnight in Luxor.

Note: if your arrival at Luxor dock by 3:00 or 3:30 pm, then we have chance to visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Accommodation: Overnight in Luxor Aswan on board the cruise.

Day 4: Hot Air Balloon Ride, Luxor Tour and departure transfer

Begin around 5 to 5:30 am pick up for the incredible trip of 30 to 40 minutes Hot Air Balloon flight over the west bank of Luxor and enjoy an aerial view of the country’s landscape and famous landmarks. Enjoy the sun illuminating the sky of the open air museum city (Luxor) over the great temples and mountains below.

Breakfast and check out to start your unforgettable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the new kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies.

Then, to the Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. End your tour in the West Bank by a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. Lunchtime in a local restaurant (optional). Back to the East Bank to see the largest temple ever; Karnak temple built through 2000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. Have nice pics between its huge pillars and obelisks.

Finally, transfer to Luxor Hotel, Airport or Railway station.

  • Sometimes due to sailing conditions on the River Nile, Nile Cruises itineraries schedule and sailing time maybe updated. We assure that our clients will see all what is on their itineraries but maybe in different order.
  • If the trip to Abu Simbel cancelled due to bad weather, you will be refunded with 30$ USD per person.
  • If the Hot Air Balloon trip cancelled due to bad weather, you will be refunded with 30$ USD per person.
  • Camera is not allowed on the balloon basket, you can only use your cellphone to take pictures.
  • It is available to pick travelers from Aswan west bank hotels with extra 10$ USD per person.
  • It is available to drop off travelers at their Hotels in Luxor west bank with extra 10$ USD per person.
  • You will need to pay all the entrance fees by card except the High Dam and motorboat to Philae temple in cash.

    I would give it a 10 star if I could. My wife and I took this cruise and it was awesome. Heba from the agency help us with everything we needed, from train tickets from Luxor to Giza and the transportation from the train station to the hotel. I wished I knew this agency before I booked other tours in Cairo. I was not aware that Heba had contacts all over Egypt so if you need other tours just let her know. My guide Ahmed was super duper awesome. He is very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and makes the stay so much easier. Ahmed followed us through the whole cruise which it made it easier to have one guide for the whole 4 days instead of having different ones. The cruise itself consisted of a buffet and the food was good. The rooms though, need improvement. This tour also included the hot air balloon and my group was small (6 people in total), compared to other tours. I would definitely recommend Egypt gift tours for any tour in Egypt. Thank you guys again for this beautiful experience. I am so happy I chose you.

    We recently did the 4 day 3 nights tour including hot air balloon and Abusimbel. This was our first cruise ever and we enjoyed it. Heba from egypt gift tours was a great help in arranging the trip. As soon as we landed in Aswan ,ahmed abbas was waiting for us at the airport. He was our guide for the entire trip and was very informative and gave us detailed glimpse of ancient life in Egypt taking us through the various land marks over the next few days. For us the highlights were Abusimbel (even though it takes 8-9 hours to travel to and from Aswan), valley of Kings and hot air balloon. our cruise ship-Semiramis 2 was good too.
    This is a great way of seeing all of southern egypt in 4 days. Last day we finished around 4 pm and were dropped off at our hotel. They even arranged airport transportation for the next day.
