This morning, your private guide will pick up at your hotel in Cairo or Giza to start your day by visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years. Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind, enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. You’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general. At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
Continue to the Egyptian Museum; home to the fantastic Tut Ankh Amun exhibit, see his golden mask and many of the New Kingdom royal mummies, lose yourself in the many rooms and galleries full of thousands of artifacts.
Have lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included), then continue towards the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on famous hill Al Moqattam in Cairo, that was constructed for military purposes, for protecting Cairo from incoming threats. Since then, it became a residence of the king of Egypt for many centuries. On this tour, you will visit the beautiful Mohamed Ali known as Alabaster Mosque. Political event called “Massacre of the Citadel” happened in the Citadel in 1811, where Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) murdered Mameluke leaders in Qaser El Gawhara palace, and it’s not currently opened for visits.
Or have a chance to visit the Old Cairo that is known as Christian Coptic Cairo. It is among the most important locations visited by the Holy Family where the spiritual impact of their presence is sill felt.
The Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergious) was built as a prime landmark for many tourists. This, and the whole area of the Fort of Babylon, is a destination of pilgrimage not only for Egyptians but for Christians from around the world. An air of piety and devotion permeates the whole district here. You will also get to learn about the old Jewish synagogue – Ben Ezra Synagogue. (you need to choose either The Citadel or Coptic Cairo).

Day 2: Alexandria Day Trip from Cairo
Start with early morning pick-up around 6:30 to 7:00 am for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo. Tour Alexandria’s most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide.
