Day 2: Tour to Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara and Overnight Sleeper Train to Aswan
Check out after breakfast to start your full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Saqqara with your private Egyptology tour guide. Start in chronological order, as it were, by visiting the step pyramid of Saqqara; the first capital of ancient Egypt. This is the oldest pyramid in Egypt 4800 B.C; built by King Djoser, before exploring the famous pyramids at Giza.
Stop for lunch break (optional) then, continue visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years. Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind. Enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. You’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general.
In the evening you will be picked up and transferred to Cairo train station to take your night sleeper train to Aswan (about 12-14 hours).

- The Nile Cruise departs from Luxor every Saturday, Monday or Thursday.

Day 3: Arrive Aswan, check in the Cruise and Aswan Tour
Once you arrive at Aswan train station, our representative will meet and assist you at Aswan Railway station to be transferred by A/C car to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to check in before lunch. Have lunch on board.
Then, start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric.
Proceed to visit the Greco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. Later on, return back to your cruise for Dinner, folkloric show, and Overnight in Aswan.
Note: If your arrival to Aswan is so early, so we might start the tour direct upon arrival since the cruise check-in time at 12:00 and we don’t want our guest to waste their time waiting at the lobby for check-in.

Day 4: Abu Simbel Trip (Sharing a group), Sailing and Kom Ombo Temple
Around 4 to 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for Abu Simbel trip ( sharing a group in a bus or minibus). Arrive around 8 am, to visit one of the most impressive places in Egypt; the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel with their unique design built for King Ramesses 2nd. and his beloved Queen Nefertari. This amazing site was completely dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded.
Back to the Cruise by noon (around 2:30 pm) to have your lunch and sailing heading to Kom Ombo city, where to visit the amazing temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to two gods: Horus (the falcon god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). Also, you will get to visit the Crocodile Museum. Get back to the cruise and have dinner. Continue sailing to Edfu for overnight.

Day 5: Edfu Temple and Arrive Luxor (visit Luxor Temple)
Around 5:30 to 6 am, enjoy Horse Carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu which is considered to be the most complete and the best preserved of all the Egyptian temples. Return to the cruise to have your breakfast and start sailing. Relax on the deck watching the unique landscape and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile river while sailing to Luxor. Cross Esna Lock, lunch on board and afternoon tea on the sundeck.
Late in the afternoon, arrive Luxor; built on and around the ancient site of Thebes, and has the greatest concentration of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley, if not the world. Across the Nile lies the City of the Dead, with its mortuary temples and rock carved tombs. To the east stand the Temples of Luxor and Karnak.
Meet your guide to visit Luxor Temple which is in the center of town and is colorfully lit up by night and where ancient Egyptian, Christian and Islamic features are exhibited. Dinner on board and belly dancing show. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor West Bank, Karnak Temple Tour and Overnight Sleeper Train to Cairo
Breakfast and check out at 8 am to start your remarkable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the new kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies.
Then to the Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. End your tour in the West Bank by a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. Lunchtime in a local restaurant (optional).
Continue to visit the massive temple of Karnak. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long sphinx lined avenue. Inside the large courtyard are three temples. The much photographed Hypo-style Hall has an impressive 134 towering columns, each is carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions cover the walls.
At the end, transfer to Luxor train station to take your overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Day 7: Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, Khan Al Khalili and Departure Transfer
Upon arrival at Cairo train station, meet your guide to start your day tour to the Egyptian Museum; home to the fantastic Tutankhamun exhibit, see his golden mask and many of the New Kingdom royal mummies, lose yourself in the many rooms and galleries full of thousands of artifacts.
Drive Back in comfort to Cairo Airport to take your flight back home or if you can add extra nights to your time in Cairo, then you have a chance to join any other optional sightseeing tours to Alexandria from Cairo or an overnight White and black desert.
Our representative will escort you to the airport for departure according to your flight details.
