Explore historic Cairo, visit the iconic pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Old Cairo. Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo Arrival Transfer

Welcome to the timeless land of the pharaohs! You’ll be met on arrival at Cairo airport by our driver, who will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name and transferred to to your hotel in Cairo or Giza (book it yourself), then the rest of the day is free at your leisure. If your flight lands early, then you could take a first look at the pyramids with an amazing sound and light show(optional), or perhaps head into downtown Cairo for a Nile dinner cruise and show(optional).

Day 2: Visit The Great Pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara

This morning, your private guide will pick up you for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. Start in chronological order, as it were, by visiting the step pyramid of Saqqara; the first capital of ancient Egypt. This is the oldest pyramid in Egypt 4800 B.C ; built by King Zoser, before exploring the famous pyramids at Giza.

Stop for lunch break(optional)then, continue visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years. Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind. enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures, you’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general.

Back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza for overnight (book it yourself).

Day 3: Luxor Full Day Tour and Overnight in Aswan

In the morning check out from your Cairo hotel after breakfast and transfer to Cairo airport for an early morning domestic flight to Luxor (book it yourself). Upon arrival at Luxor airport and pick your luggage, go outside through the exit door where, you’ll be met by your guide.

Drive for about 30 to 40 minutes to the west bank; where you will visit the Valley of the kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon. Your first destination of the day will be the Valley of the Kings; where the pharaohs from the New kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies. You will be able with your ticket to visit 3 tombs among the open ones.

Travel next to the amazing temple of Hatshepsut, who was the first woman to rule over Egypt. This temple was used as a monastery in the Christian era and famous as El Deir Al Bahari, or ‘Northern Monastery’.

Your last stop in the west bank will be at the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. These two, 18 m-high statues are the only remaining items of the temple of Amenhotep III.

After lunch, we’ll visit the massive temple of Karnak complex, part of the ancient city of Thebes. Dedicated to the powerful God Amon, it offers a vast mix of temples, chapels, statues and obelisks. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long Sphinx lined avenue. The much photographed Hypostyle Hall has an impressive 134 towering columns, each is carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions cover the walls.
Proceed, to the smaller Luxor Temple, which is in the center of town. Admire its beautiful Obelisks and Statues of King Ramesses the Great.

Then, you will be transferred to Luxor Train-Station to take your 19:15 pm first class sitting train to Aswan. Arrive at Aswan after about 3 hours, to be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Aswan for overnight (book it yourself in Aswan east bank, city side).

Day 4: Abu Simbel, Aswan Tour and Back to Cairo

Around 4 to 4:30 am ,you will be picked up by an air-conditioned vehicle (sharing a small group) for your visit to the UNESCO world heritage site of Abu Simbel. This amazing site was completely dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded. Drive for about 3 to 4 hours, to be met by your Egyptology guide; who will escort you to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, telling you the stories and the history of the iconic sights of ancient Egypt.

Return to Aswan for lunch, then continue sightseeing in Aswan. Visiting the most beautiful temple in Egypt on Philae Island; an Island in the middle of the Nile and dedicated to the Goddess Isis, it was saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

At the end, to Aswan Airport to take your evening flight back to Cairo (book it yourself), to be met and transferred to your hotel in Cairo or Giza for overnight (book it yourself).

Day 5: National Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo and Khan Al Khalili 

Take your breakfast, then, start your day tour at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization which is considered the first museum all over the world exhibit a comprehensive view for the Egyptian Civilization through the history from prehistory till the modern history. NMEC exhibit several objects to show starting with the predynastic and Ancient Egyptian period, the Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic and modern history.

The main Exhibition Hall show the four main crafts that shaped the Egyptian civilization: pottery, wood, Textile and ornaments. You can see over there the oldest prosthetic toe all over the world, the skeleton of a man dates back to 30000 years ago, the Kaaba Cover (kiswaa Al Kaaba) which was the last one made in Egypt during the time of president Naser and the Mammal which it used to carry the cover from Egypt to Saudi Arabia every year in a great parade.

Have lunch at a local restaurant before exploring some of the most famous churches in Cairo. Travel to the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. Both these churches were built into the walls of the Babylon Fortress and their remains could be Cairo’s oldest structures. Visit the Church of St. Sergius next before driving back to your hotel.

Cairo’s Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar is an essential Egyptian experience – lose yourself in the colors and aromas of this fascinating marketplace. or have a chance to visit the famous Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha At Salah Al Din Citadel. (you need to choose either Khan Al Khalili Bazaars or The Citadel)

Day 6: Alexandria Trip From Cairo

Start with early morning pick-up for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo. Tour Alexandria’s most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide. See the Greek and Roman masterpieces ruins at the National Museum, descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with the beautiful artworks, visit the Roman Theater,  take in views from the 15-century fortifications at the Citadel of Qaitbay. Explore the New Alexandria library at your own pace. Drive Back in comfort to your hotel in Cairo for overnight.

Day 7: Free Day and Departure Transfer

Today is free to join any other optional sightseeing tours of Cairo or a spot of last minute shopping until we take you back to the airport for your departure flight. If you have an evening flight, then the Cairo City Tour, Dashour and Memphis tours can also be done today.

Our representative will escort you to the airport for departure according to your flight details.
